The challenge

The Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Hall is a cultural hub, a thriving centre for arts and events. But it had a dated brand that was lacking the creative spark you’d find inside its doors.

The solution

We got under the skin of the brand to build something that balanced the traditional styling of the building with its contemporary, energised sensibility. Our new wordmark captured this perfectly, using a classic serif font, but intertwining the initials in an unexpected way.

We also developed a flexible colour palette, making it easy for individual events and programmes to have their own visual identity while still maintaining a sense of overall brand cohesion. Keeping everything fresh, but always consistent.

The result was a distinctive look and feel that the community can easily recognise, repositioning the Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Hall as a dynamic cultural centre.
